Wednesday Training

Wednesdays, 7-9pm @ Lightwater Country Park

The focus: to play an expansive game involving everyone.

With a number of new players (green to the game), and some oldies (who could do with a refresher), there will be additional emphasis on player development. Therefore, training will be split into 4 parts.

  1. Fitness – this will involve more ball work through the season, pre-season will be based on cardio and general core work.
  2. Skills – focus on passing/running/decision making. Mainly drill based to improve everyone’s ability.
  3. Set piece/contact – scrum, lineout, backline calls, rucking, mauling etc.
  4. Game – game to bring things altogether based on the session.

We will always endeavour to make training as enjoyable as possible, and are always keen for thoughts and ideas. Though fitness will not be the priority, our goal will be to make you sweat!!
